Would any of you like a golden retriever puppy?
One of our friends just broke up with his wife, and is staying with us for a while until he can find a place to go....
At some point last night while we were at the Giga Bytes lock in, his wife decided to drop the poor thing in our back yard attached to a tree because we have no fence.
She can't stay here because we'll get evicted.
She's purebred and free to a good home. Zack doesn't want to give her to the pound.

2. We share several common interests, most notably Firefly. Which character do you mostly identify with from that show?
---------2: Probably Kaylee because of her way-too-bubbly personality, but Inara is a close second because she can be beautiful, intelligent, and have a good personality all at once.
3. Is there significance to your user name, fireshaper87?
---------3: It's what I've used since 96. I was trying to come up with a good screenname for my AOL (shudder) account, and the book I was reading at the time was called Fireshaper's Doom. I was able to use it through 2001 before I got to a site where someone else had it, and everyone I knew already knew me by that sn, so I simply added my birth year to the end in order to avoid their confusion and mine.
4. Describe a time when you stepped outside your comfort zone. What happened to make you step outside that zone and how did you feel afterwards?
---------4: The first time I went to Chaplin's on Karaoke night. I'd always had a bad perception of Karaoke bars, and I felt quite a bit out of place, especially when I was forced to go sing. I was taken up there for the first time I hung out with my then-friend-but-now-fiance outside of the Waffle House where we met. Now we go up there just about every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night, and it's where he proposed to me.
5. What part of Atlanta do you call home? I lived in the Druid Hills area and loved it. I was totally bummed when I heard that the 57th Fighter Group nightclub on Clairmont had closed. That used to be one of my fave places to go!

That depends on how old classifies as "old"... My biggest and most noteworthy scar is just over my right hip where I narrowly avoided being attacked by a German Shepherd while working at PetSmart.

Get a better paying job. Right now I'm making $2.50 an hour and the customers there have a tendency to leave almost no tip. (If you can help me get at least minimum wage in the Atlanta area, please let me know. I REALLY want a desk job, even if it's just data entry)
Save money for college/vehicle/etc. Hopefully I can save at least $100 a month... I know it's not much, but I have to start somewhere.
Get my $&@^ing driver's license. I'm getting sick of everyone I know saying they'll take me out driving and then falling through on consistency... 'Course first I'm going to have to renew my permit again.
Get back in shape. Just because I'm skinny doesn't mean I'm healthy. I have a good metabolism, but I need to exercise more.
I'm going to stop there because I'm pretty sure that most of these won't come to fruition anyway. |
